Advancing Your Account-Ability
Learn accounting with the Universal Accounting Course
Module # III of the Professional Bookkeeper Program: Advancing Your Account-Ability
(4 DVDs)
Purpose: To help you set up a complete bookkeeping system, and manage clients from a variety of more sophisticated industries for your new accounting and bookkeeping business. Average time to Complete: 20 Hours
Bookkeeping is merely the tabulation, or score-keeping phase of accounting. In the experienced hands of a professional, this information can make the difference between success and failure of any enterprise.
Advanced accounting goes beyond the mere development of reports, and explores the value of the information. This is where the rubber meets the financial road. It aids the business in evaluating past performance, and establishing meaningful plans for the future. Without it, the business owner is running blindfolded.
Every accountant should be committed to identify financial strengths and weaknesses of the business that will make the company stronger and more profitable. Indeed, the professional accountant is "The Profit Expert" of the small business and when performing his or her role well, will be one of the most influential people within the company.
Surprisingly to most people, these skills are not taught at the college or university levels. In most cases a person either needs vocational (available at Universal Accounting Center) or on the job training to become a full-charge bookkeeper.
